July 1996 was a bad month for ONR. Within a few weeks they had two major wrecks (here's the other one at Cobalt- angle 1 and angle 2.)

One of these cranes is ONR's (503), the other one was leased from CP for this job (CP 414479).

1734 was luckier than 1732. The damage was only cosmetic and with repairs to the cab sheet metal and handrails, it was back on the rails again and remains running to this day (photo here.)

Tomiko is a siding at mile 27 on the ONR Temagami subdivision.
