ONR ballast hopper #2220, is one of two different body styles of old covered hoppers with the lid torched off. The other style to the right has a different end style as seen here and does not have the see through opening in the center like 2220. These cars are former DT&I units and were acquired by the ONR in June 1982. Thanks to Frank Vollhardt for his input on the completion of this write-up.
