This new mine, owned by ONR customer Agrium, represents a new resource for Northern Ontario and ONR. It produces phosphate rock.
It's located at mile 89 of ONR's Kapuskasing subdivision, approximately 16 km south of the town of Opisatika.
This photo was taken by an aquaintance of James Lalande's who works for the ONR. The mine was still being constructed when this photo was taken and would not be operational until many months later. The equipment in the centre of the shot was used by the ONR to build the trackage to connect it to their main line.
